Message In the tuning process, did you guys make consecutive pulls with adjusting nothing but the exhaust cam timing over a range of degrees? I would imagine that as you adjust the exhaust cam timing you are going to see a shift in the torque; favoring low RPM, mid RPM, or upper RPM bands. You also shouldn't see a point of diminishing returns when altering the exhaust cam timing for a boosted, WOT condition - the breakpoint is literally a "break" point where you end up putting valves into the pistons, but I doubt there is that much adjustment in the gears, at least I Would hope not, LOL. Just curious about the curves based on exhaust cam timing per degree of change....

To my understanding, it is no surprise that Z1 came out with this product for the sole reason that when Steve Demos of Demos Cams regrinds their "HL series" camshafts for them with either the JWT 400 series or 500 series profile, he cannot add in that +4 advancement that JWT can do with new billets - there just isn't enough room there to do it without undercutting the base radius so much that you have slop between the cam lobe and lifter crown. With these adjustable cam gears you will be able to add in at least that +4 to the exhaust cams on the Z1 camshafts, plus some if desired. The application of these adjustable cam gears will be dependent on what camshafts you are using to start with. Additionally, dependent on what camshafts you are using there is going to be a differing amount of change per horsepower as well as a differing amount of net gain absolute.. .... 20 hp in your case, but probably not the minimum or maximum possible for any other camshaft choice..... /ramble off
